Fans Can Enjoy Once-In-A-Lifetime Experiences and Help Children In Need During May Race Weeks at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The 10 greatest days in racing are right around the corner and the Charlotte Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities is providing many chances for fans to support Cabarrus County and Charlotte-area children in need. Opportunities include an online auction with VIP prize packs, face painting, volunteer opportunities and more during NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and Coca-Cola 600 race weeks at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

VIP Experiences Available Through Online Auction

Speedway Children’s Charities and Charlotte Motor Speedway have teamed up to put together once-in-a-lifetime opportunities at the upcoming May NASCAR events up for auction. All items available are exclusive and meant to give fans VIP treatment at the races. Packages up for bid include a chance to be in Victory Circle for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, Victory Circle for the Coca-Cola 600, the opportunity to ride in the truck with a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver during driver introductions at the Coca-Cola 600 and more. Face Painting for Kids

Children attending the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race or Coca-Cola 600 will be able to get their faces painted. For a small donation, kids can choose a fun design to have painted on them. Two locations will be set up, one in the Play Zone and one behind the family seating area at the Toyota Fourth-Turn Terrace. Volunteer face painters are still needed. Golf Cart Shuttles

Speedway Children’s Charities volunteers will be on hand to provide golf cart rides throughout NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and Coca-Cola 600 weekends. The rides are free for fans and donations can be made to support Cabarrus County and Charlotte-area children in need. Volunteers are still needed to drive the golf carts. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

During Coca-Cola 600 race weekend, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will be selling their famous doughnuts with all proceeds going to the Charlotte Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities. Single doughnuts will be on sale for $1. Fans can purchase a half-dozen for $5. SCC volunteers will also be making deliveries to campgrounds at 8 a.m. each morning. 

There are Speedway Children’s Charities chapters at eight Speedway Motorsports, Inc., facilities: Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Sonoma Raceway, Las Vegas Motor SpeedwayNew Hampshire Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway. Throughout the year, Speedway Children’s Charities hosts a number of charitable events at each track.
