Eddie MacDonald had to ruffle a few feathers late in the PittLite 125 at Bristol Motor Speedway to snap his 53-race winless streak in K&N Pro Series East. MacDonald muscled his way around pole-sitter Ben Rhodes and held off second-place Gray Gaulding on a green-white-checkered flag to earn his seventh career victory.

Rhodes led every lap until that point, but the two rubbed fenders battling for the lead.

A nine-car pile-up extended the race into overtime, and MacDonald powered his way by Rhodes on the outside lane on the restart. Gray Gaulding slipped by Rhodes to grab the runner-up spot while the Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) driver, Rhodes took third.

This was MacDonald’s first K&N East win since New Hampshire in September 2009.

Daniel Suarez, winner of the first two races of the season, made a pit stop out of the top-ten for a flat tire and mechanical issues leaving him with a finish 21 laps down in 26th-place.
