Austin Dillon wins the Pocono Mountains 150 his first series win since Eldora in 2013 and breaks Toyota’s 12-race win streak

Finally Toyota’s 12-race dominance in the Camping World Truck Series has come to an end at Pocono Raceway with Austin Dillon bringing home a victory in his No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet.

Asian-American Rookie Kyle Larson Captures Top Starting Spot at Pocono

Kyle Larson has become a familiar name among NASCAR fans as a stand out rookie in the Sprint Cup Series 2014 season. This weekend he adds another accomplishment to his résumé as the Coors Light Pole Winner at Pocono Raceway.  Larson is the first graduate of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity (D4D) initiative to win a pole in the Sprint Cup Series. Dillon Closing In On Sought-After Points Lead

Edging out one of the most competitive fields of the year, Ty Dillon posted his first career NASCAR Nationwide Series win at the historic 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In doing so, he claimed Nationwide Insurance’s $100,000 Dash 4 Cash check, also closing the gap of -15 between he and the points leader, Chase Elliott. Extra! Extra! Pocono Adds Mileage

Pocono Raceway is extending the show this year as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is now for 150 miles instead of its previous 125. The extra mileage won’t be too much of an added burden to the drivers’ stamina; three of the last four races have ended with a green/white checkered finish in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Continue reading

Justin Allison Adds his Name to Family Winners’ Circle

 

ARSlogoWith pit strategy and weather in play at Pocono Raceway, ARCA Racing Series driver Justin Allison earned his first series win in the ModSpace 125.

Justin Allison is the third member of the Allison family to win an ARCA race. Davey won eight times and Bobby once.

“It’s pretty cool to win here,” he said. “The Allison’s have a lot of history at this track. It definitely means a lot to get this first win here.”
