Lacie Price Closes her 2014 Season as a Champion

Competing in the last race of the SWS Racing Series on December 13th at Willow Springs International Raceway, Lacie Price came home a champion.  As a new series for Legend cars, the road course added an extra element of excitement for the racers and fans.

Going into the last event of the season, Price held a mere two-point lead over long-time Legend competitor Gary Scheuerell. For most of the race Price and Scheuerell battled hard for second-place, while Ben Walker led by a few car lengths. Continue reading

Within NASCAR there are a number of families carrying their love of racing throughout generations of the sport, including several legendary names such as Petty, Earnhardt, Jarrett, and more recently the well-known families of, Burton, Blaney and Elliott. And among all the familiar names in the sport there are some lesser known families carrying their love of the sport across generations and from behind the scenes.

For anyone carrying their family name throughout generations of their shared journey, there’s a sense of pride in knowing one’s roots run deep within their career path.  And for Kip Childress, Series’ Director of NASCAR’s K&N Pro Series West those roots span three generations of memories. Dalton Sargeant Impresses with Second-Place Finish in Debut at 47th Annual Snowball Derby

Dalton Sargeant and the No. 5 Victor Ford Wauters Motorsports team battled throughout the 323 laps of their very first Snowball Derby.  After qualifying in 25th, Sargeant methodically made his way through a field of the best short track drivers in the country, finishing in the second position.  The Snowball Derby was Sargeant’s seventh super late-model start, and only second start at Five Flags Speedway.
