Cole Custer Grabs NASCAR XFINITY Series Ride in 2017 with Stewart Haas Racing

Custer will pilot the No. 00 with Haas Automation Sponsorship

There’s little doubt that Cole Custer is a talented NASCAR Next alumnus and a future star of NASCAR. Friday night at Chicagoland Speedway, he’ll be looking to earn a Camping World Truck Series victory to earn a place in their inaugural Chase for the championship title. Custer is now ninth in the series point standings, just outside the eighth-place cut off to qualify for the Chase.

Whether Custer makes the Chase or not, the future looks bright for this young 18-year-old driver from Ladera Ranch, CA. Earlier today Stewart Haas Racing announced that Custer will race the No. 00 in the XFINITY Series for the 2017 season. He’ll  turn 19 just before the season begins next February at Daytona International Speedway.  Continue reading

Matt Tifft is Ready to Race at Chicagoland Speedway

After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, NASCAR driver, Matt Tifft missed several races to undergo surgery. With a positive attitude to a rather scary medical condition, Tifft stayed in touch with fans by posting video updates on Facebook throughout his ordeal. Chase Briscoe: From Cunningham Motorsports Shop to Extraordinary ARCA Season

Surprisingly it was just last year, that Chase Briscoe was volunteering his time at the Cunningham Motorsports shop, sweeping floors and learning as much as possible about the behind the scenes workings of an ARCA Racing Series team. He was there, because he had no sponsorship to race, and he wanted to stay in touch with racing.

Then Kerry Scherer and Briggs Cunningham gave him a shot behind the wheel, when a one-time sponsor stepped up with the money to field another car for the organization. That was at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis mid-season last year. In his debut ARCA Racing Series event, he started fifth and finished tenth. Continue reading
