NASCAR Pinty’s Series Returns To Honda Indy Toronto Weekend In 3-Year Deal

NASCAR in Canada has a new name and entitlement sponsor – one that’s familiar to race fans across the country.

NASCAR and Pinty’s Delicious Foods Inc. announced today a six-year series entitlement sponsorship agreement of NASCAR’s Canadian-based series. Beginning Jan. 1, 2016, the series will be known as the NASCAR Pinty’s Series. Continue reading

Edging out German Quiroga by 0.50 seconds, Ryan Blaney wins the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park/Mosport on Sunday afternoon. Last season’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series visit to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario proved a battle of the sport’s young blood with Chase Elliot at 17 years and nine months, shaking off Ty Dillon at 21 years and six months, on the last lap to become the youngest winner in NASCAR national series history – a record broken two months later by NASCAR Next member Erik Jones at 17 years, five months, nine days.

Sunday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 could make history once again as John Hunter Nemechek at 17 years and two months and NASCAR Next prospects Gray Gaulding at 16 years and six months and Cole Custer at 16 years and seven months have a shot to break the record for youngest race winner. Turner Scott Motorsports driver Scott Heckert earns his first career K&N East victory!

The Bully Hill Vineyards 125 is a NASCAR K&N East race to remember for the ages, with plenty of action at Watkins Glen International, marking their first race at the track since 2009.

International Flavor for NASCAR Home Tracks and ARCA Preview

NASCAR_HOMETRACKS_cropped_700The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will head to Watkins Glen International Friday for the Bully Hills Vineyard 125, led by championship points leader Ben Rhodes. There are a number of road-course ringers in the field, most notably, two-time NASCAR Canadian Tire Series champion Andrew Ranger and two-time NASCAR Whelen Euro Series champion Ander Vilarino. Ranger has 19 Canadian Tire wins with 16 on road courses. He’s also won three times in the K&N Pro Series – all on road courses. Vilarino, joined by 2013 championship runner-up Frederic Gabillon at The Glen, has 16 Whelen Euro wins – 15 on road courses. Also in the field will be NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sunoco Rookie Austin Dillon. Continue reading
