Dumoulin Scores Saskatoon Victory with Green-White-Checkered Pass Securing his Third Career Win

L.P. Dumoulin finally got the oval-track win he was looking for.

The road-course ace from Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, came out on top in a wild green-white-checkered finish to the Velocity Prairie Thunder 250 Wednesday in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 action at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series closes out its four race weekend regular-season with a doubleheader at Germany’s famed Nurburgring. The two races – on Saturday and Sunday on the 2.255-mile Grand Prix Circuit 2 – serve as a homecoming of sorts for several German-speaking drivers from Austria, led by Mathias Lauda. The son of Formula 1 champion Niki Lauda is coming off his first NASCAR win at Tours Speedway in France.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour stays in New Hampshire, transitioning from New Hampshire Motor Speedway to high-banked quarter-mile Monadnock Speedway in Winchester Saturday for the seventh of 14 races on the schedule while Ben Rhodes and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East head to Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway.

In Mexico, the NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series resumes action with a race Saturday night at the .875-mile Autodromo Internacional de Aguascalientes. Points leader Suárez (four wins in seven races) will miss the race due to his K&N Pro Series East obligations, leaving the door open for a field led by second-place Antonio Pérez, Rubén Pardo and Abraham Calderón.
