The most prolific winner in drag racing history with 120 NHRA tour victories and 13 series championships, all in a series of Castrol GTX-sponsored hybrids called “Funny Cars” that are capable of zero to 330 mile-an-hour acceleration in 4.6 seconds. Is the current NHRA national record holder for quarter-mile performance at 4.665 seconds, 333.58 mph. John has an unbelievable winning streak, having earned at least one tour victory in each of the last 20 seasons. Kyle Busch Avoids Tire Issues and Wins Auto Club 400 in Overtime

In a race that saw tire problems turn the contest upside-down, Kyle Busch won Sunday’s Auto Club 400 in a green-white-checkered-flag finish that took the fifth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event of the year six laps past its scheduled distance.

The first driver on four fresh tires for a restart on Lap 205 at Auto Club Speedway, Busch passed Stewart-Haas Racing teammates Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart on the next-to-last lap, bringing rookie Kyle Larson with him. Continue reading

Fairhope, AL native Grant Enfinger found himself in a familiar place at Mobile International speedway – in victory lane.

Enfinger won the ARCA Mobile 200 for the second straight year and once again in dominant fashion. He led 185 laps on the day and even the caution-filled race did not halt his progress. The Daytona ARCA winner pulled away by 1.125 seconds over second place at the finish. Continue reading
