This weekend Mackena Bell heads to Florida as a contender, but hopes to return to North Carolina as a winner. For Bell, the forthcoming races in New Smyrna and Daytona are not only two opportunities to win a race, but also two opportunities to send her message. In a sport that has traditionally been dominated by men, Bell looks to disprove the notion that gender plays a role in one’s ability to compete in motorsports.
