Every time Kevin Harvick finishes in the top-ten, customers at Outback Steakhouse can get a Bloomin’ Onion the following day. If there is not a Bloomin’ Onion shortage already – since Harvick is riding a streak of six straight top-two finishes dating back to Texas last year – there will likely be one following Sunday’s CampingWorld.com 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. Contenders

Dale Earnhardt Jr – This team has looked great so far in 2015 and I don’t think that goes away at Phoenix. Jr has shown consistent speed and I feel he will be a big player Sunday.

Carl Edwards – The last man to beat Kevin Harvick at Phoenix? This guy. He hasn’t shown great speed so far in 2015 but he has run well here and can get the job done.

Brad Keselowski –  Has not shown speed similar to Logano, but I like how Paul Wolfe has adjusted to the track throughout the race. I see this team getting better and better every week.  Continue reading

Joey Logano is class of the field in XFINITY win at Phoenix

Joey Logano summed up his dominating victory in one word.

“Finally!” Logano exclaimed after taking the checkered flag in Saturday’s Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.

Logano had reason to be frustrated. He had finished second in his last four XFINITY Series starts, the last three after winning the pole. And the driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford hadn’t been to Victory Lane in the series since Sept. 28, 2013 at Dover International Speedway. Continue reading
