Hey race fans, catch our NASCAR Weekend Preview – Chase Race Five with host Sharon Burton, Brian Eberly,our Fan4Racing writer and guest panel member Kyle Pokrefky. Joining us is Chris Knight from the Catchfence with the latest news from the track.

We’re chatting about all the hottest topics and what fans can expect at the track over the upcoming weekend of racing at Kansas Speedway for the fifth race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series,as well as the XFINITY Series and ARCA Racing Series. Also, the K&N Pro Series West at All-American Speedway. The Camping World Truck Series returns to action on October 24th at Talladega.

When possible, we’ll bring  guests from around the NASCAR world to give their perspective too. We’re chatting with ARCA Racing Series driver, Sarah Cornett-Ching  about her 2015 season and the season finale at Kansas Speedway

NASCAR Announces Base 2016 Rules Package

Rules Developed from Continuous Collaboration with the Industry

NASCAR has announced their base NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rules package for the 2016 season. The package was given to teams after an extensive collaborative process between NASCAR and industry stakeholders.

The base package includes a 3.5-inch spoiler, a 0.25-inch front leading splitter edge and a 33-inch wide radiator pan. These components will give lower downforce on the cars, and Goodyear is developing tires to complement them. Earlier this season, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Kentucky Speedway and Darlington Raceway featured a similar aero package. Continue reading
