Over the last several years, there’s one rally cry from some fans that has come clearly into focus. They don’t enjoy watching NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers winning XFINITY Series races. They especially don’t enjoy watching one Sprint Cup Series driver dominating the mid tier series races – that driver is Kyle Busch.

At Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon, Busch led all but one lap of the Boyd Gaming 300 on his way to victory, finally fulfilling his dream of winning at his home track in front of his family and friends. Las Vegas Odd Makers’ Picks for Kobalt 400 and Boyd Gaming 300 at LVMS

Harvick favored to repeat as Kobalt 400 champion
Kyle Busch is odds-on favorite to win Boyd Gaming 300

Odds makers have tabbed Kobalt 400 defending champion Kevin Harvick as the favorite for Sunday’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Harvick, the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, is a 5-1 favorite for the 267-lap race, according to Boyd Gaming Events. Four-time Kobalt 400 winner and six-time Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, as well as Las Vegas native and reigning Sprint Cup Series champion Kyle Busch are second at 6-1.        Continue reading

Plenty of entertainment planned for 2016 NASCAR Weekend

at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Fans flocking to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend will have a number of opportunities to enjoy good music throughout the property.

Whether it’s the Cooper Tires stage in the LVMS Fan Engagement Area outside the main grandstands or the Neon Garage, the speedway will be rocking with good tunes all weekend. Approximately ten bands and performers will keep 2016 NASCAR Weekend visitors entertained at the 1.5-mile speedway Friday through Sunday.             Continue reading

Double Duty for Five NASCAR Drivers at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

A new week has dawned, and it’s nearly time to go racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The 2016 NASCAR Weekend at the 1.5-mile superspeedway is shaping up as another epic experience, with drivers set to race in the NASCAR XFINITY Series Boyd Gaming 300 on Saturday and Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt 400. Five drivers – Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott and Aric Almirola – are expected to pull double duty and compete in both races over the weekend. Continue reading
