Erik Jones the ‘Cream of the Crop’ at Iowa Speedway
In a field full of talented young drivers, 17-year-old rookie Erik Jones proved to be the “Cream of the Young Crop” in the American Ethanol 200 presented by Enogen at Iowa Speedway on Saturday. In only his third start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) with Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM), the rookie captivated the audience as he effortlessly danced with the veterans and out-dueled his rookie class as he powered his No. 51 Toyota Tundra to a solid second-place finish. Timothy Peters knows the way to victory lane at Iowa Speedway.
He followed that path Saturday night to his best finish of the season.

It was a disappointing weekend for Rev Racing at Iowa Speedway, where Ryan Gifford had hopes of a top-five finish but came home 33rd due to a flat tire late in the race. Gifford (@RyanGifford2) had the second fastest car in the final practice and qualified well. He was ready to have a strong night after his win at Richmond, a track with similarities to Iowa Speedway.
