Kyle Busch Motorsports announces Erik Jones is splitting driving duties in the #51 truck with his owner Kyle Busch this season.

The team is looking to repeat as owner’s champions in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Jones came on strong last year, grabbing two top-ten finishes in his first two races in trucks.

One of the highlights of his season was winning the truck race at Phoenix last November, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the series at 17 years, five months, and nine days.

In addition to a part-time truck schedule, Jones also ran select races in ARCA.  He picked up his first career win at his home track in Berlin, MI and was also impressive at both Pocono races and Kentucky.

In addition to both his truck and ARCA wins, he also won the Snowball Derby for the second straight year in 2013.

Jones will drive the No. 51 truck in 12 races this season, making his 2014 début at Martinsville in March.

Although he doesn’t turn 18 until May, his first truck race on a track bigger than a mile will be Texas in June.
