The Camping World truck series is going dirt track racing in 2013. That is just one big change to the 2013 Camping World truck series schedule.
Eldora Speedway, a .5 mile short track, will be the first dirt track race in NASCAR since 1970. It also looks to be the most anticipated race of the season.
Along with the addition of Eldora, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park will be added to the 2013 schedule. Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is a 2.459 road course. It is the first road course to be added to the Camping World truck series schedule since 2000 and extends NASCAR’s involvement in Canada to seven years.
NASCAR’s changes to the 2013 schedule are an attempt to bring the sport back to its roots. Rockingham’s second race in two years adds to that idea. The truck series schedule certainly wins the most exciting NASCAR schedule of the year. It is sure to add a bigger array of racing fans in 2013.
