Determined and Passionate about Racing, Brennan Newberry Connects with Fans

Brennan Newberry is a determined and passionate 22 year old racecar driver from Bakersfield, California.  Raised by a large and close knit family, Brennan has grown into an accomplished individual on and away from the NASCAR circuit.  Brennan was destined for racing well before he was born as his father was an avid speed skier and racecar driver.  Growing up in the same town as Mesa Marin Raceway and multiple racing champions, Brennan dreamed about winning championships at the top echelon of the sport.  With an incredibly supportive family behind him, Brennan found a need for success in all facets of his life.  Graduating with honors from High School, Brennan took on the role of Scholar Athlete as he obtained his Associate Degree from Bakersfield College and is continuing his path towards higher education.     Continue reading

Zac Bogner Takes on the Sport of Drag Racing

At 19 years of age, Zac Bogner has been racing since he was 9 years old. Starting his career in 2006 as a Junior Sand Dragster for his good friend, Brian Fitzpatrick, Bogner says from the beginning he was influenced by the adrenaline rush to keep going and added that he wants to really take on the sport of Drag Racing.

In late 2006, Zac Bogner took the opportunity to drive a Junior Dragster on Asphalt 1/8 mile Drag Strips and really enjoyed going 50 mph in his first time on Asphalt.

Beginning 2007 Zac Bogner received an offer to drive for engine builder Don Soltz, who builds Junior Dragster Engines. In his first race with the team, Zac won, realizing his potential to go far in this sport. Continue reading

There are wins that change a driver’s career. Ryan Newman has won the Daytona 500 and the All-Star Race, but one race he has aspired to win was the Brickyard. Growing up just a few hours north of Indianapolis left Newman dreaming of winning at Indy. The track’s rich history makes it a victory that pulls your career towards different path. NASCAR’s K&N West, Whelen Modified & Canadian Tire Series’ Back in Action

PrintWith a Saturday date at Colorado National Speedway in Dacono, CO, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West is back in action for the first time since June 22 at Sonoma, CA. NASCAR Next driver Michael Self has won three of the last four series events, but Derek Thorn – a two-time winner this season – has a slim three-point advantage over Self in the season standings. Cameron Hayley, also a participant in the NASCAR Next program, looks to score his first championship-event victory after starting the season off with a non-points triumph in the inaugural UNOH Battle At The Beach in Daytona. Hayley, who just celebrated his 17th birthday, has scored top-five finishes in five of six K&N West starts this season.

 

 

whelen-modified-tour4c1The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns to Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, NH., for a make-up date after rain doused the originally scheduled date on May 11. Defending tour champion Doug Coby collected his first win of the season in the last event on July 13 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. NASCAR Next driver Ryan Preece has a commanding 44-point lead in the standings powered by wins in three of the last four races. The 22-year-old Preece led wire-to-wire a season ago at Monadnock.

 

 

260862The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1, on the heels of its two-race swing through Western Canada, heads to Autodrome St. Eustache (Quebec). It’s the series’ first visit to the .4-mile oval since July 2010.
