For the fifth-consecutive year, NASCAR is returning to Las Vegas for the post season Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Week™, a star-studded, entertainment-filled celebration for the series champion and fans, culminating with one of NASCAR’s marquee events, the Sprint Cup Series Awards. Since 2009, the awards have been held at Wynn Las Vegas and have grown in stature and prestige with each passing year.

This year’s awards are taking place December 6, returning to Wynn Las Vegas with FOX Sports 2 and NASCAR.com providing coverage from 9pm – midnight ET. Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90 is providing live coverage beginning at 8pm ET. The show will also re-air on FOX Sports 1 at noon ET on December 8. Continue reading

DRIVE4COPD and NASCAR Partner to Generate Awareness, Encourage Fans to be Screened

NASCAR announced November 1st that it will lead a joint campaign with Official Partner DRIVE4COPD throughout COPD Awareness Month (November) to drive awareness and encourage fans to be screened for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

COPD, a debilitating lung disease, is the third-leading cause of death in the United States and affects as many as 24 million Americans but about half remain undiagnosed. DRIVE4COPD has been the Official Health Initiative of NASCAR since 2010 and has been responsible for screening more than 2.7 million NASCAR fans. Continue reading
