Mason Mitchell Motorsports is fielding their own entry for the 2014 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season. They’re starting the season at the opening race at Daytona International Speedway in February, with Mason Mitchell behind the wheel.
“It’s always been a goal of mine to race for myself in the MMM owned entry at a top-level of motorsports. It’s back to the roots where I had success coming up through the ranks.”
Mitchell is coming off his first full season (minus missing two races in his transition to Empire Racing mid-season) in the ARCA Racing Series finishing sixth in driver points. The 19-year-old from West Des Moines, Iowa, ended the season with nine straight top-ten finishes and back-to-back runner-up finishes at Kentucky and Kansas Speedway. During the last nine races of the 2013 season. Mitchell earned the second most driver points (1650) behind 2013 champion Frank Kimmel.
“Our goal is to get my first win out-of-the-way and win multiple races along with winning the championship in 2014.”
MMM plans to field a second entry throughout the 2014 season with a combination of two to three different drivers that will be announced at a later date.
Mason Mitchell started racing motocross at the age of five and transitioned into mini cups, 1/2 size style race cars. He won many championships and track records in his early career.
