Las Vegas Motor Speedway was one track Brad Keselowski could never seem to conquer. That is until today when he put on a show that led him to victory lane for his first career Las Vegas victory.

The win didn’t come easy for the No.22 team, however. Drivers including Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Chase Elliott gave Keselowski a run for his money throughout the race. Busch was Keselowski’s biggest threat as a broken alternator in the No.22 car led to Busch closing in toward the end of the race. Busch got within a half second of Keselowski, but he was never able to get any closer. Making Busch a bridesmaid at his home track for a second straight year.

Keselowski didn’t hold the lead for most of the race, but he did make it to the front in sporadic portions of the event. He first let on lap nine and stayed out front until the first caution of the race. A few laps after the first caution’s restart, Keselowski found himself back out front after passing Kenseth.

About 50 laps later, Busch gained the lead for the first time in the race. He was able to hold it until the No.54 car couldn’t get going on a restart with 38 laps to go that forced him to give up the lead to Keselowski.

It was all Keselowski past that point as he cruised to victory. This was his first win in NASCAR’s top three series in 2014. He finished second in the Nationwide Series opener and third in last weekend’s NNS race at Phoenix.
