Hailing  from Boston, Mass, Kaz Grala is racing full-time in the 2014 season with Turner Scott Motorsports in NASCAR’s K&N Pro Series East. In the first two series’ races of the season last month at New Smyrna Speedway, then Daytona International Speedway, Grala has two tenth place finishes.

In 2013, and only 15 years-old, Grala turned quite a few heads in his first Late Model Stock Car (LMSC) season. In only his second start, he won the Banjo Matthews Memorial 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway, becoming the youngest winner in UARA series history.

Grala, then battled to a second-place finish and became the youngest driver to ever lead laps at the prestigious 21st annual NASCAR Myrtle Beach 400. To cap off the season, he won the Speed 51/JEGS 2013 Rookie of the Year Award, joining other successful young drivers, Chase Elliott, Ross Kenseth, Erik Jones and Kyle Larson.

Grala kicked off his 2014 season by becoming the youngest-ever driver in the IMSA series history, competing for Rum Bum Racing in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge BMW Performance 200 at Daytona International Speedway. Starting 13th in a stacked field of 67, Grala ended his stint in second-place, having set the fastest lap of the race.

The K&N Pro Series East teams head to Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend for the PittLite125 on Saturday, March 15. Follow all the action on the track with updates provided by Speed 51 on Race Central at hometracks.nascar.com.
