Billy Ray Cyrus Performing Pre-Race Concert at Auto Club 400
The multi-GRAMMY nominated, award winning, American singer-songwriter and actor BILLY RAY CYRUS will get race day started in country/rock style at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, March 23 when he performs a pre-race concert beginning at 10 a.m. on the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone main stage.
Written by CYRUS, “Hope Is Just Ahead”–the uplifting new single featuring GRAMMY-winning legendary vocalist Dionne Warwick–has jumped to #60 with a bullet and is most-added on the A/C Chart at radio. Recorded at Jamie Foxx’s studio in Los Angeles, a portion of the proceeds from “Hope Is Just Ahead”will go to “Do The Write Thing-National Campaign to Stop Violence.” The organization helps create awareness to students on the ground level and prevent violent behavior in schools before it escalates.
Cyrus’ remake “Achy Breaky Heart Pt. 2,” featuring hip hop artist Buck 22 entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 80 and hit No. 11 on Hot Rap Songs last month. CYRUS’ originally topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 1992 with the track and 2014 marks the 22nd anniversary of the release of the original song. “Achy Breaky Pt. 2” also debuted at No. 16 on the Streaming Songs chart according to Nielsen/BDS. CYRUS has sold more than 25 million albums internationally; he has also had three No. 1 hit singles. Over the course of 12 studio albums since 1992, CYRUS has earned nearly 30 chart singles, including 15 Top 40 hits.
