They say everything is bigger in Texas and when it comes to a desire to succeed in stock car racing, Tyler Young , a Texas native holds true to that saying. With aspirations for success in the upper levels of NASCAR, Young’s talent and passion along with a work ethic will make those dreams a reality.

Tyler Young stepped into his first racing vehicle at the tender age of only eight years old after a family friend convinced Young and his dad, long-time race fans, to come watch an event at a local track. From there, it wasn’t long before Young proved he was serious. When Tyler started racing Go-Karts it was obvious early on that he had both the talent and determination for success. An IKF (international Karting Federation) Championship in 2004 was a clear indicator that it was time to climb the racing ladder. Between 2005 and 2008, Tyler batted some of the best Texas had to offer in Hobby Stocks, Sport Modified’s and Modified cars. He and his father’s team realized that to make it in NASCAR, North Carolina was the place to take their next step. Tyler packed up his racing organization and relocated to Mooresville, North Carolina.

Young’s first foray into the upper levels of stock car racing came in the CARS X- 1R Pro Cup Series. Multiple poles and strong runs, including a first-career victory at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina, proved that Young was a star on the rise. With a winning pedigree, he made the move to NASCAR in 2012 competing part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Across two seasons of competition (2012-2013) in the NCWTS, Young has 11 starts. He has several head-turning runs under his belt in the ultra-competitive Truck Series, and aims to continue his ascent in NASCAR through a steady balance of hard work and passion for the sport.

Young is now piloting the Young’s Building Systems / Randco Industries, Inc. No. 02 Chevrolet in the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Tuck Series season, where his plan is to run a complete season.

After three-consecutive top-20 finishes, Young is heading to Kentucky Speedway for the Truck Series race on Thursday, June 26th. Television coverage is on Fox Sports 1 at 7:30 pm ET and a green flag at 8 pm ET.

When Young isn’t at the track and Driving the Young’s Building Systems / Randco Industries, Inc. 02 Chevrolet, he manages day-to-day duties at Young’s Motorsports. In his free time, Young enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding, and time on the lake.
