The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards heads to the high banks of the half-mile Winchester Speedway in Indiana. ARCA cars travel around the track in 15-16 seconds a lap, making it one of the fastest half-mile tracks in the country.

In last year’s race, ARCA veteran Frank Kimmel held off a hard-charging Austin Wayne Self to score his 79th career win and tie Iggy Katona for the all-time record. Kimmel has always been good on the Winchester track with six wins with his first coming in 1996.  The defending ARCA champ is still looking for his first win of 2014.

This weekend could see a first-time winner in victory lane as Self and Mason Mitchell have been close on some occasions.  Mitchell led 15 laps in last year’s event and finishing fifth in his last race for Roulo Brothers Racing.

It’s a different case for the Roulo Brothers this time around, as the Kyle (Benjamin and Kyle (Weatherman) show is back.  Benjamin will pilot the No. 17 and Weatherman will be behind the No. 99.

Weatherman turned some heads last year at Winchester by leading laps and finishing in fourth-place after starting 22nd due to qualifying being rained out.

Turner Scott Motorsports will try once again to let Brandon Jones make his ARCA début this weekend.  Jones was intending to run his first race at Salem in April, but a scheduling conflict didn’t let the driver compete.  The 17-year-old will drive the No. 4 car which saw victory lane with Kyle Larson at Pocono last month.

Anderson Bowen makes another start for Cunningham as the team will field three cars this weekend.  Bowen will once again be in the 77 with Tom Hessert driving the No. 72.

Points leader Grant Enfinger is coming off a dominant performance two weeks ago at Elko Speedway, by winning the race and leading 211 of the 250 laps.  He’ll try to extend his points lead over Mitchell with another good run at Winchester.

Some dark horses to keep an eye on are Josh Williams and Michael Lira.  Both drivers can have a break-out day on Sunday.  Ken Schrader is also entered in the event and looks to add his name to the list of Winchester winners.

Winchester Speedway is celebrating 100 years as the Herr’s Chase the Taste 200 will air live on Sunday, July 6 at 2 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
