The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will have double the action this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The inaugural, non-points event Whelen All-Star Shootout will take place Friday afternoon before NASCAR Nationwide Series final practice.
Race will feature past champions and previous winners from both the Whelen Modified and South tours, as well as the 2013 Rookie of the Year from both series, with the entry list being capped at 20 cars.
Participation of the event according to the number of championships won, race victories and highest championship finishes. The race broken into two 20-lap segments with a 30-minute time limit for completion.
Starting grid is by a random draw and second segment will be a re-draw of the top finishers from the first segment.
All 20 drivers entered in the Whelen All-Star Shootout will also compete in Saturday’s Sunoco 100 at the track.
The Sunoco 100 is a points-paying race on the Whelen Modified Tour and will also feature some of the Southern Tour drivers as well.
The race will take place at 2:10 p.m. ET on Friday and will air on TV on Sunday, July 20 at 2 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. NASCAR Home Tracks offers live updates to follow along with all the racing action. .
