Turner Scott Motorsports driver Scott Heckert earns his first career K&N East victory!

The Bully Hill Vineyards 125 is a NASCAR K&N East race to remember for the ages, with plenty of action at Watkins Glen International, marking their first race at the track since 2009.

Road course ringer, Andrew Ranger led going into the last lap when a pass by Turner Scott Motorsports’ Scott Heckert had him taking the green-and-white checkered flag in Friday’s race.

A late race caution found Ranger beating Cole Custer on the last restart to finish line. The two battled it out until Heckert found an opening, passing both drivers on the last lap exiting turn one.

Custer lost control of his No. 00 Chevrolet exiting the last turn, hitting the sand barrels just before the entrance at Pit Road to finish 16th.

For Heckert, it was his first win in 27 career K&N East starts.

Championship points leader, Ben Rhodes finished third with Turner Scott Motorsports teammate Kaz Grala finishing fourth, and Jesse Little completing the top-five.

Brandon Jones was sixth, with Ryan Reed seventh. Cameron Hayley rebounded from an early race incident to finish eighth, while Kenzie Ruston and Nick Drake rounded out the top-ten.

The event saw six cautions with 15 cars finishing on the lead lap.

Next up for the K&N East drivers is another road course with the Biscuitville 125 at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, VA on Saturday, August 16th.
