Lacie Price is our next guest on Fan4Racing Fan2Fan NASCAR & Race Talk on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 9 pm ET. Call 714-202-9918 during the LIVE broadcast with any questions or comments.
Competing in the last race of the SWS Racing Series on December 13th at Willow Springs International Raceway, Lacie Price came home a champion. As a new series for Legend cars, the road course added an extra element of excitement for the racers and fans.
Going into the last event of the season, Price held a mere two-point lead over long-time Legend competitor Gary Scheuerell. For most of the race Price and Scheuerell battled hard for second-place, while Ben Walker led by a few car lengths.
At the end of the ten-lap race, Walker took the victory, while Scheuerell came home second and Price third. The third-place finish was enough for Price to bring home the 2014 SWS Racing Series Legends title. The championship was Price’s first at Willow Springs, third for the 2014 season, eighth in legend car competition and 17th of her career.
“Huge thanks go out to all of our sponsors for making this season such a remarkable and memorable experience,” said Lacie Price. “We will now have a few weeks off for the holidays, but racing will start right back up in January at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the annual Silver State Series.
“We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and successful 2015 racing season.”
