Landon Cassill knows Bristol Motor Speedway.
The JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet driver has raced at the high-banked half-mile track 12 times – eight in the Sprint Cup and four in the Xfinity Series.
“I’ve been around that track enough to know what’s what,” Cassill said. “It really takes a couple of races there to kind of figure out what you want to do and when you want to try it. It’s a tough, fast little track.”
Cassill will be in the JD Motorsports No. 01 Chevy in Saturday’s Drive To Stop Diabetes 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Six races into the Xfinity season, Cassill is 17th in driver points with two top-20 finishes.
Practice for the Xfinity Series is at 1:30 p.m. and 3 pm ET on Friday. April 17th. Qualifying is at 9:45 pm ET on Saturday, April 18th with the race to follow at 1:30 pm ET.
Cassill is also racing the Sprint Cup Series on Sunday, April 19th in the No. 40 for Hillman Racing. Watch the Food City 500 in Support of Steve Byrnes at 1 pm ET on FOX.
