Dakoda Armstrong is our guest at Fan4Racing NASCAR Weekend Preview on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 9 pm ET. Call 929-477-1790 or tweet @Fan4RacingSite or @beberly18 with any questions or comments during our LIVE broadcast.

Although the NASCAR XFINITY Series teams are racing at Pocono Raceway for the first time this weekend, Dakoda Armstrong is making his sixth career start at the track also known as the ‘Tricky Triangle.” Armstrong has two starts at Pocono in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series along with three starts with the ARCA Racing Series.

“I have run a few races at the track which hopefully is a benefit to us this week since this is the XFINITY Series first visit to the track.  We get a little extra practice time this week as well so hopefully all of this helps us come home with a solid finish.”

Armstrong has a best Camping World Truck Series finish of 12th and a second place finish in the ARCA Racing Series at the Pocono track. With several teams having never run at this challenging track for rookies, that gives Armstrong with JGL Racing a competitive advantage.

“Pocono is a fun track to race on but also very difficult at the same time.  The long straight-a-ways make it crucial to have good exit speed off the corners and keep that momentum up down the long straight away.  The unique and different three corners of the track presents a challenge since they are all so different.”

Now 16th in the series point standings, Armstrong plans to use his experience at the track to move up the  points ladder. This season his best finishes of 14th are at Daytona and Richmond and there’s reason to believe Armstrong can take his No. 28 car to a top-ten finish this weekend.

Watch the XFINITY Series teams race the Pocono Green 250 this Saturday June 4th at 1 pm ET on Fox Sports 1 with radio coverage available on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
