Starting the season with an early NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory at Mobile International Speedway, Tyler Dippel at HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks is looking to get back on track after some challenges in the last few races. Recently becoming one of the newest NASCAR Next drivers, Dippel is racing his No. 38 in the Stafford 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway this weekend.
Bringing high expectations for a turning point to build momentum for the rest of the season, Dippel will have lots of family, friends and fans in the stands for the K&N Pro Series East race – Stafford is the closest venue this season to Dippel’s home in Wallkill, NY.
“Stafford is basically a home track race for us. I’m very excited because a lot of my family, friends, and supporters throughout my racing career will be there cheering the No. 38 on. I’m confident in my team and believe that we can turn our luck around and get back to victory lane.”
With six races into the 2016 season and adding to his win at Mobile, Dippel has one top-five and three top-ten finishes. He is sixth in the series’ point standings.
Dippel began his racing career at the age of seven racing slingshot race cars. Making his first full-sized stock car start on asphalt in 2014, as a rookie Dippel held the PASS Super Late Model National points lead throughout the season.
Last season Dippel competed in the DIRTcar Racing Series earning Rookie of the Year honors and becoming the youngest series’ winner in the northeast area. Also last season, Dippel made three starts in the ARCA Racing Series with a career best of fourth at Indiana’s Salem Speedway in September.
