Continuing Support of Service Men and Women with Make Motorsports.
MAKE Motorsports is honored to fly our Nation’s colors with Spencer Boyd and Grunt Style at the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Boyd will pilot the No. 50 Chevrolet Silverado as a teammate to 2003 NCWTS Champion Travis Kvapil in this final race of the season.
Grunt Style is a lifestyle apparel brand founded by Former US Drill Sergeant, Daniel Alarik. Grunt Style believes in Pride in Self, in Military, and in Country – values that resonate with NASCAR fans.
“Grunt Style is a natural sponsor in NASCAR and I am honored that they have chosen me to represent their brand,” explained Spencer Boyd about his new partner. “They employ mostly veterans in their company and together with my recently passed grandfather, who was an Air Force Veteran, I am humbled by being able to announce this partnership on Veteran’s Day. I would like to thank each and every person who has sacrificed so much for our freedom.”
To Grunt Style, what you wear is more than just a necessity to be clothed. It’s about attitude! They have taken the American fighting spirit and instilled it in everything they do. You don’t have to be a Veteran to wear Grunt Style, but you do have to love Freedom, Bacon, and Whiskey. They provide more than apparel, they instill pride.
“I am proud to have our company represented by Spencer and MAKE Motorsports,” says Daniel Alarik of Grunt Style. “They both have a history of supporting service men and women and that was important in our decision to partner with a team and driver in NASCAR.”
Upon special invitation, Former Combat Marine, Timothy Jensen, will be the honorary crew chief for the race. After nine years in the military, including deployment to Iraq in 2004 and 2005, Timothy Jensen is now the Chief Operations Officer for Grunt Style.
“I remember Spencer from when he ran Legends cars,” adds Mark Beaver, co-owner of MAKE Motorsports. “He made an impression on me then as well here in his debut season in NASCAR. Working with him for this race has given me the opportunity to see what a down to earth person he is and how he fits well with our race team’s culture. We look forward to a solid race with him to round out an equally solid year for our race team.”
The Ford Ecoboost 200 from Homestead-Miami Speedway can be seen live on Friday, November 18th on FOX Sports 1. Race coverage will begin at 8:00 pm ET, and the event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Radio, channel 90.
