Scott Lagasse Jr. Piloting No. 24 Toyota in Daytona for JGL Racing

JGL Racing is proud to announce that Scott Lagasse Jr. has joined the organization for the NASCAR XFINITY Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Lagasse Jr., a native of St. Augustine, Florida, will pilot the No. 24 Toyota in the running of the PowerShares QQQ 300 at the “World Center of Speed”.

“I am excited to work with all of the guys at JGL Racing”, stated Lagasse, Jr.  “Daytona is always a special race for me as it is so close to home. It doesn’t get much better than lots of family, friends and a fast race car at my home track.”

Lagasse Jr. will be making his 62nd career start in the NASCAR XFINITY Series and his 11th career NXS start at Daytona.  Scott also has three career starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and two in the ARCA Racing Series at the 2.5-mile track.

“All of us at JGL Racing are excited to have Scott join us for the season opener in Daytona”, added James Whitener, owner of JGL Racing.  “Scott is a great fit for our organization and he quickly fit in with the guys.  He has a tremendous amount of experience running at Daytona and we look for a safe race and a strong finish in the No. 24 Toyota.”

Clinton Cram will lead the St. Augustine, FL native as crew chief of the No. 24 Toyota.  Lagasse Jr. will join JGL Racing’s full-time driver Dakoda Armstrong as he enters his second season piloting the team’s No. 28 WinField United Toyota entry.

The team and Lagasse Jr. will have some exciting sponsor announcements as the season opening race draws closer.

The 2017 NASCAR XFINITY Series season will kick off at Daytona International Speedway on February 25th with the running of the PowerShares QQQ 300.
