After finishing ninth in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, Zane Smith is now gearing up for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200 at Salem Speedway in Indiana with Venturini Motorsports on Sunday, April 30th.
At Nashville in ARCA’s Music City 200, Smith brought home a ninth-place finish in his first series outing of the season and now sits 15th in the point standings after entering one of two races so far this season. Smith was unable to race at Daytona due to his age.
Smith, a native of Huntington Beach, CA, will race with Venturini Motorsports in 18 of 20 scheduled series events with his sights set on winning and making an immediate impact during his rookie season.
With a specific mission at Salem, Smith not only wants to move up in the series point standings but to improve his finishing position as well. He raced at Salem last September finishing tenth, and moving into the top-five or even a victory this weekend would be a big boost to both goals.
“My confidence in my own abilities and this team is really high,” says Smith. “I know what we’re capable of doing on the race track. We’ve got all the resources to show up and challenge for the win each and every week.”
