Concord, NC – Motorsports enthusiasts around the world will be in for a treat this weekend, January 19-21, when the 55th World Championship Snowmobile Derby at the Derby Track is broadcasted live on Speed51.com.
On Wednesday, officials from the Derby Track and Speed51.com revealed that all three days of the event will be available to watch online via a FREE live video stream on Speed51.com and on the Speed51.com Facebook page.
It was previously announced that this year’s World Championship Snowmobile Derby would be available via a pay-per-view service on Speed51.com. However, with support from the non-profit organization PADD (People Against Distracted Driving), the greatest snowmobile race in the country will be available to watch at no cost.
Those who had already purchased pay-per-view video tickets for the event will be issued a full refund.
The annual event held in Eagle River, Wisconsin is owned and promoted by the Decker family. ARCA Racing Series driver for Venturini Motorsports Natalie Decker will be working the event with her family and is thrilled to partner with PADD and Speed51.com for the free live broadcast.
“Together with Speed51.com, the Derby Track and PADD, we have decided to live-stream the World Championship Snowmobile Derby for free to help spread the word, ‘Don’t Text and Drive – Save Lives.’ I am so thankful that Speed51.com has opened their door to help spread the word by live streaming the event for free,” Decker said. “Any donations during the live stream will support PADD to continue helping victims of distracted driving.”
The World Championship Snowmobile Derby will take place at the half-mile. banked, purpose-built facility in Eagle River, Wisconsin, just over an hour north of Wausau, Wisconsin.
A full broadcast schedule and more information on how to watch will be announced soon on Speed51.com.
