Ross Chastain is our guest on Fan4Racing NASCAR & Race Talk, Monday, August 6, 2018, at 9 pm ET. Call 929-477-1790 or tweet @Fan4RacingSite with any questions or comments during our LIVE broadcast.

In one of their best seasons, JD Motorsports with Gary Keller is on course toward making it to the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs with their No. 4 driver, Ross Chastain. Now sitting 12th in the series point standings, Chastain has just six races left to keep his team in playoff contention. Chastain finished fourth – his best run of the season – last week at Iowa Speedway and this weekend at Watkins Glen International, he finished 20th in one of the most challenging races of the season in changing conditions including rain. Chastain now sits just 25 points ahead of the series playoff cutoff line.

“As if road-course racing wasn’t tough enough, the rain made it an even bigger day,” Chastain said with a smile. “At times, I could barely see where I was headed because of the spray from other cars. But we had a pretty good run.”

JD Motorsports with Gary Keller is a multi-car team competing full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with the No. 01, No. 4, No. 0, and No. 15 Teams. Their on-track performance is steadily improving, and this season they are now the number one non-Cup Series affiliated team in the Xfinity Series. Team owner, Johnny Davis, has done an amazing job of delivering cost-effective advertising and marketing programs to sponsors while providing exciting entertainment on the track.

Chastain has also been taking part in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series with Premium Motorsports for select races but is not racing for points in the series.

There are two more road courses in the six races left of the Xfinity Series regular season with Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course up next for the Rock ‘n Roll Tequila 170. Watch all the action on NBC Sports Network starting at 3 pm ET on Saturday, August 11th.
