The rest of the ARCA Menards Series field needs to fight harder to keep Ty Gibbs from the top spot. Once Gibbs took the lead, it was game over for anyone else looking for a win at Pocono Raceway.

Gibbs was the class of the field in the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 on his way to this third series victory. Gibbs was able to outrace runner up Chandler Smith and third-place Sam Mayer. Both Mayer and Smith coincidentally were celebrating their 17th and 18th birthdays on Friday.

Two weeks ago, Gibbs held off Mayer at Toledo Speedway in the ARCA Menards Series East race to win. His victory at the 2.5-mile tricky triangle of Pocono is 2.314 seconds over second-place Chandler Smith. This is Gibbs’ sixth win in the ARCA Menards, East, and West Series in just 21 starts.

As the 28th consecutive different ARCA Menards winner at Pocono, Gibbs added to the streak dating back to 2006. Current NASCAR Cup Series drivers with an ARCA win at Pocono include Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Joey Logano, Ty Dillon, Chase Elliott, and Cole Custer.

The Top-Ten

Fastest in practice, Chandler Smith was able to pass Mayer late in the race to finish second but wasn’t able to catch the leader. Finishing fourth is Bret Holmes with series point leader Michael Self, finishing fifth.

Next to the checkered flag were Hailie Deegan, Derek Griffith, Talladega winner Drew Dollar, Ryan Huff, and Scott Melton to round out the top-ten.
