Chandler Smith wins for Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Menards Series Calypso Lemonade 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway on Friday night.
With a dominating performance, Chandler Smith, with Venturini Motorsports wins for the second-straight time at Lucas Oil Raceway. Last fall, Smith took the checkered flag in the rain-shortened race at the Brownsville, Indiana 0.686-mile paved oval. He led seven laps when the rain arrived on lap 167 of 200.
On Friday, Smith won the General Tire Pole Award earlier in the day, then took the lead from Ty Gibbs on lap 39, leading all the remaining laps of the 200 lap event, At Pocono Raceway last weekend, Smith finished second to Gibbs.
Second-place finisher Sam Mayer was tracking down Smith with less than ten laps left after passing Bret Holmes in seventh-place. By the checkered flag, Smith was able to stretch out his lead by 0.899 seconds.
The victory for Smith is his second of the Sioux Chief Showdown, after also winning at Phoenix Raceway in March.

Hailie Deegan is the third-place finisher followed by fourth-place finisher 15-year-old Taylor Gray in his ARCA Menards Series debut. Thad Moffitt is the fifth-place finisher.
Rounding out the top-ten are Max McLaughlin and Brett Holmes, in sixth and seventh. Championship points leader Michael Self finishes eighth after pitting for a late-race flat tire and relinquishing his third-place position to Deegan. Howie DiSavino III and Kyle Sieg finished ninth and tenth.
ARCA Menards Series Point Standings
Michael Self was able to keep his points lead to 12 markers over Hailie Deegan. Drew Dollar with mechanical issues at the second break, finished 14th, dropping him to third in the series point standings and 19 points behind Self.
