The fight for the Round of 12 final spots are tight through the first two races, and those looking to advance had one last chance. That opportunity is in a 500-lap run on the bull ring of Bristol Motor Speedway, and the event surely lives up to the drama unfolding in the last few weeks.

The First Stage

Brad Keselowski in the pole position has control of the field through the green flag start. On lap 18, Kevin Harvick overcomes Keselowski for the lead. Shortly after, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finds the wall bringing out the first caution of the evening. All lead lap cars came down pit road for service.

Matt DiBenedetto wins the race off pit road with a two-tire stop. Brad Keselowski quickly passes DiBenedetto. And, Chase Elliott meanwhile has a strong car all evening and fights his way to the front. With 18 laps remaining in the stage. Elliott passes Keselowski for the race lead and navigates his way through the lap traffic to win the first stage.

The Second Stage

Kyle Busch moves into the top spot after winning the race off pit road. He quickly moves out to a big lead as the rest of the field chases behind. Kyle Busch leads the entirety of the second stage.

On lap 233, William Byron hits the back of Christopher Bell as the two are trying to drive through lap traffic. The field came down p
it road with Kyle Busch returning to his lead. He jumps back out front to lead the rest of the way. Kyle Busch wins the second stage
.

The Third Stage

Kyle Busch continues to lead heading into the final stage of the race. On lap 281, Kevin Harvick catches Busch and quickly makes the pass for the lead.

Kyle Busch never loses sight of Harvick. The two are close together, and on lap 459, Kyle Busch makes another pass for the lead as Harvick is caught up with lap cars. Ten laps later
, Kyle Busch is gaining on Logano to take him off the lead lap. Logano stays high and blocks Busch. This slows down Kyle Busch and Harvick takes the lead back. This is all Harvick needs to press on. Kevin Harvick goes on to win the Bass Pro Shops Night Race for his ninth victory of the season.

The NASCAR Cup Series Point Standings

Kevin Harvick is having a career year and is not slowing down. He has earned his ninth win of the year with seven more races remaining. Kevin Harvick sits at the top of the leaderboard by 19 points.

However, the schedule takes another turn. Next week’s race is at Las Vegas Motor Speedway starts the Round of 12. For those now on the outside of the cutline for the Round of 8, this race is a safe bet to go for the win. With Talladega Superspeedway and the Charlotte Roval on the horizon, the race at Las Vegas is the one to be aggressive for a victory.

Come on...we know you have something to say.....
