Kyle Larson continues shining at Nashville Superspeedway in the NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 on Sunday afternoon with a third-straight victory.
The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Nashville Superspeedway for the first time. This event has been highly anticipated since the start of the season. The show lived up to the expectations with an amped-up sellout crowd. A fiery command to start the engines delivered by Luke Combs only increased everyone’s excitement.
Larson Dominates the First Stage, without Winning
Aric Almirola started with the top spot, but it was quickly given up to Kyle Larson. Larson split the middle, forcing three-wide action heading into the first turn. Larson gained control of the lead on the backstretch and the race was on.
Kyle Larson pitted from the lead on lap 45 and was stuck on pit road when the caution flag came out. Tyler Reddick spun around while exiting pit road. Larson was able to cycle back into the lead and continued his control of the field.
There were two quick cautions immediately after. Ryan Blaney shredded a tire and slammed into the wall of the first turn. Justin Haley and Chris Buescher also connected with the same wall a few laps later.
Several of the leaders came down pit road, but Chase Elliott stayed out. Elliott took the green flag and dashed to the end of the first stage for a win.

Kyle Larson regained the lead heading into the second stage and led the entire segment.
There were two cautions in the second stage. The first was for Bubba Wallace on lap 132. Wallace lost a tire and spun out while running 14th. Shortly after, Cole Custer had the same incident happen to him.
Kyle Larson continued to lead through the cautions. On the second restart, racing picked up again. Larson gained a sizeable lead on the field to win the second stage.
Brake Issues Prevail throughout the Day
Drivers were on the brakes hard all afternoon and many setups began to give out. Kyle Larson continued to be the man to beat as the race entered a long green-flag run.

It is safe to say that Kyle Larson has found his groove. There was a concern as to whether he would be competitive this season in his return to NASCAR with Hendrick Motorsports. That concern is silenced. The talented Kyle Larson is flourishing. This Larson’s third points bearing victory in a row, and with his All-Star Race win, it is his fourth win in a row.
Kyle Larson now sits in second place in points, just ten points shy of the top spot. Kyle Larson and Hendrick Motorsports are having a banner year. All four drivers have victories on the season, and three HMS drivers are inside the top four of the point standings. The entire organization has come on strong as of late, so expect the foot at HMS to stay on the gas.
