NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series drivers will compete for more than a cowboy hat in this weekend’s SpeedyCash.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway (Friday, June 7 at 9 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio), in this season’s first round of the Triple Truck Challenge.
The National Motorsports Appeals Panel today heard and considered an appeal of a behavioral level penalty issued on April 10 to Kevin Reed Jr. relative to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
The penalty concerns the following sections in the 2019 NASCAR Rule Book: Sections 12-1; 12-2; 12-8.
The original penalty assessed: Reed was fined $2,500, his 2019 NASCAR License had been revoked and he was indefinitely suspended from NASCAR.
Upon hearing the testimony, the decisions of the National Motorsports Appeals Panel are:
That the Appellants violated the Rules set forth in the Penalty Notice.
2. That the Panel affirms and upholds the original Penalties assessed by NASCAR
The panel consisted of the following three individuals:
– Mr. Chuck Deery
– Mr. Bill Mullis
– Mr. Dale Pinilis
The Appellant has the right to appeal the decision of the National Motorsports Appeals Panel to the National Motorsports Final Appeals Officer in accordance with Section 15 of the NASCAR Rule Book.
