Hey race fans, catch our NASCAR Weekend Preview with host Sharon Burton from Fan4Racing, co-host Chris Knight from Catchfence and Fan4Racing writer, Zach Roethlisberger. We’re chatting about all the hottest topics and what fans can expect at the track over the upcoming weekend of racing at Phoenix International Raceway. We’ll bring  guests from around the NASCAR world to give their perspective too.

This week our guests include ARCA Racing Series broadcaster, Tim Clagg, as he helps us preview the upcoming ARCA-Mobile 200, March 14th event. NOTE: Tim Clagg is rescheduling his appearance for another night.

JD Motorsports’ driver, Ross Chastain, talks about racing in the XFINITY Series this season.

H Scott Motorsports driver, Brennan Poole talks about his opportunity to race the No. 42 in the XFINITY Series and getting a top-ten finish at Las Vegas.

XFINITY Series Rookie Ross Chastain Rolls on to Phoenix with Confidence

NASCAR XFINITY Series Rookie of the Year contender Ross Chastain sits in tenth-place in the series point standings as the circuit moves on to Phoenix International Raceway Saturday for the Axalta Faster Tougher Brighter 200.

In his first three races of the season, Chastain has finishes of ninth, 24th and 18th, and he has reason for confidence as his JD Motorsports team heads to Phoenix.

This will be Chastain’s first XFINITY Series race at Phoenix, but he has solid experience in the Camping World Truck Series at the track. He has raced there twice, and, in 2013, Chastain won the pole and finished second in the Camping World Truck Series event. Continue reading →

Let’s go back to 2013, the fall Richmond race that is usually the last race before the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. A race that saw Clint Bowyer spin late to cause a caution benefiting his Michael Waltrip Racing teammate Martin Truex Jr. A race that saw Truex race his way in; and a race that saw Jeff Gordon miss the Chase largely because of that incident.
