Scott Returns To Site Of Dominating Performance

In his last trip to Richmond International Raceway, Richard Childress Racing driver Brian Scott put on a dominating performance. He led the entire race … that is until the waning moments when Brad Keselowski passed him with just 11 laps left to run.

Then, Paul Blevin, professional Flagman for the IndyCar Series joins to talk about racing from his point of view. From a young age, Paul Blevin has been around all types of racing, and has done almost every job in racing from building tracks, medical, to even driving in 1994. He drove the Paris-Dakar Rally when 96 cars started and 57 finished – Blevin finished 47th overall. In 1999 he began his IndyCar career as a Flagman where his job has taken him all over the world.

Our panel joins the discussion throughout the show and includes Kyle Magda, Ryan O’Hara, Stephen McCall and Steve.Billmyer.

Steve Billmyer brings a unique perspective to our Saturday night show. He started at the top, and worked his way down is the way he describes his career. Billmyer was the 4th employee at Hendrick Motorsports and was a tire engineer for nine years. On race day over the years, he was a tire carrier for several different drivers including, Geoff Bodine, Tim Richmond, Benny Parsons, Ken Schrader, and Greg Sacks. Billmyer says he learned about stock car racing from the legendary Harry Hyde and was Crew Chief for 15 years for the Billmyer Racing Late Model Stock Car, partnering with his dad. Drivers who raced their 1st stock car in a Billmyer Racing LMSC were Todd Bodine – CWTS champion, Timothy Peters – CWTS multiple race winner, and Jimmie Johnson – six-time Sprint Cup champion. He was also a Crew Chief for a K&N Pro Series East stock car until his retirement. One of Billmyer’s career highlights includes working as a ‘Technical Consultant’ on the movie “Days of Thunder.”
