NASCAR Modifies National Series Qualifying

NASCAR Makes Modifications To National Series Qualifying. 

Enhancements Made To Help Make An Exciting Format Even Better 

NASCAR notified its teams this afternoon that effective immediately the following modifications apply to all elements of its national series qualifying including the breaks:

  • One cool down unit connected through either the left side or right side hood flap/cowl flap is allowed to cool the engine
  • The hood must continue to remain closed
  • Plugging in the generator will not be allowed
  • Two crew members will be allowed over the wall to support the car and driver

Park-and-Ride Options Available at Bristol Motor Speedway

Decisions for race fans and guests of Bristol Motor Speedway on where to park and how to get in and out are a bit easier to make with park and ride shuttle options in the region.

Two choices, one in Tennessee and one in Virginia, give fans a chance to let someone else do the driving to the NASCAR events at Bristol Motor Speedway March 15 and 16.

Current locations are: Sullivan Central High School at Tennessee Exit 66 — 113 Shipley Ferry Road in Blountville, Tenn., — and Sugar Hollow Park in the Exit 7 area of Bristol, Va.

Kelly Admiraal and Swan Rentals Joins RAB Racing at Bristol Motor Speedway

NASCAR K&N West standout Kelly Admiraal will make his first start with RAB Racing for 2014 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 15th driving the No. 29 Swan Rentals Toyota Camry. 18 year-old Admiraal, a native of Edmonton, Alberta Canada will make just his second NASCAR Nationwide Series start, the first coming at Phoenix International Raceway in November of 2013. Admiraal plans to compete in multiple races in the No. 29 Swan Rentals Toyota Camry for RAB Racing throughout the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series season. Continue reading
