A tough competitor and road course specialist, Boris Said is a familiar name within NASCAR for good reason. Different Winners, Crashes, and Controversy Headline this Year’s Rolex 24

Action Express Racing is no stranger to victory lane at Daytona, as the No. 5 team took the overall victory in the 52nd running of the Rolex 24.

The team consists of Joao Barbosa, IndyCar driver Sebastain Bourdais, Christian Fittipaldi, and Burt Frisselle.

With around ten minutes to go, a caution bunched up the field after a long day of racing, with the No. 5 team continuing to lead and the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing team lurking in second.

Barbosa put the pedal to the metal and finished 1.461 seconds ahead of Max Angelelli.

It was also the first win for Chevrolet. Continue reading

The Rolex 24 at Daytona marks the first major annual event in North American Motorsports – the beginning of a new season in sports car racing

In 2014, the Rolex 24 takes on more significance as of the opening of a new era in the sport. The GRAND-AM Rolex 24 Sports Car Series  and American Le Mans presented by Tequila Patrón are merging as one group under IMSA sanction with the début of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
