As Honorary Starter, John will wave the green flag to get the Royal Purple 300 underway.  The event will be televised at 2 p.m. PT on ESPN.

“I am honored to have the chance to wave the green flag for the Royal Purple 300,” said John. “I have always admired NASCAR’s ability to utilize their drivers and platform to represent brands from all walks of life, while delivering exciting racing that captivates fans at the track and on television on a weekly basis.”

The TenorsAuto Club Speedway announced today that Verve recording artists ‘The Tenors,’ will perform the National Anthem prior to the start of the Auto Club 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, March 24.  The race will be broadcast at Noon (PT) on FOX.

The multi-platinum-selling vocal group has performed their blend of classical and contemporary pop for audiences around the world. The group’s latest CD “Lead With Your Heart” was released via a U.S. deal with multi-Grammy® Award-winning producer David Foster, Chairman of Verve Music Group reaching #1 on Billboard’s Crossover chart.

In their short career, the Tenors (Remigio Pereira, Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef and Fraser Walters) have performed on The Oprah Winfrey Show (with Celine Dion), for Her Majesty The Queen during her Diamond Jubilee at Windsor Castle, the live broadcast of the 2011 Emmy® Awards in Los Angeles, at the opening ceremonies of Vancouver’s 2010 Olympics and for the NBA, MLB, and NHL All-Star Games.

NASCAR Hauler Parade To Roll Through The Inland Empire

Auto Club Speedway and NASCAR on site ~

Everyone loves a parade – especially a NASCAR Hauler parade.

To help get the Auto Club 400 Weekend underway, March 22-24, the spectacle of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hauler Parade will make its way to Auto Club Speedway from Citizens Business Bank Arena (4000 E. Ontario Center Parkway, Ontario) through Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga and Fontana, beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 21.

Along the parade route, NASCAR drivers Jamie McMurray and Tony Stewart will make an appearance at the NASCAR Hauler Parade Festival at Bass Pro Shops (7777 Victoria Gardens Ln, Rancho Cucamonga).  In addition, several merchandise haulers including Danica Patrick, Junior Nation, Tony Stewart, NASCAR and Auto Club Speedway will be on site.

Stretching nearly an entire mile from the first hauler to the last, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hauler Parade will make its way to Auto Club Speedway around 7 p.m.  The convoy will travel:

From Citizens Business Bank Arena:

  • ·         East on Concourse St. to Milliken Ave.
  • ·         North on Milliken Ave. to Church St.
  • ·         East on Church St. to Day Creek Blvd.
  • ·         South on Day Creek Blvd. to Victoria Gardens Ln.
  • ·         East on Victoria Gardens Ln. to Baseline Rd.
  • ·         East on Baseline Rd. to Cherry Ave.
  • ·         South on Cherry Ave. to Auto Club Speedway

Charlotte Motor Speedway will be on the “cutting edge” of American motorsports April 6-7 as the Food Lion AutoFair hosts the STA-BIL Lawn & Garden Mower Racing Series for two days of dirt track racing on lawn mowers at speeds up to 60 mph.
