In an all-new episode of ABC’s Nashville, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Austin Dillon guest stars when country superstar Luke Wheeler (Will Chase) surprises music legend Rayna James (Connie Britton) by showcasing James’ brand on a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The episode entitled, “It’s All Wrong, But It’s All Right,” premieres on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 10 p.m. ET.
“It was definitely a fun experience spending the day on the set with the cast of Nashville,” said Dillon, who will pilot the No. 3 Dow/Cheerios Chevrolet under the Richard Childress Racing banner this season. “I feel most comfortable in a race car but it’s cool to have experiences like this where you can be on the set of a popular television show and meet new people. The director kept telling me to slow down because I was reading my lines too quickly. I guess I do everything fast.”

Richard Childress Racing is hitting the road running fast at Daytona to start off their 2014 season. Austin Dillon is bringing the No. 3 back to the Sprint Cup Series as he contends for Rookie of the Year honors. He knows the pressure that comes along with racing the No. 3 car made famous by seven-time champion Dale Earnhardt. But, apparently pressure is not an issue with an impressive performance in the No. 3 at the top of the speed charts on the first and only day of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series testing at Daytona.
