Sprint Cup Series teams are at Phoenix International Raceway this weekend for The Profit on CNBC 500 presented by Small Business Fueling America taking place on Sunday, March 2nd for 312 laps of racing action. Sprint Cup Series Daytona 500 Preview

2014_Daytona500_REVAustin Dillon grabbing the Daytona 500 Pole victory with a Richter-scale rating may only be the beginning of news-making storylines in 2014.

On Sunday, Austin Dillon created a tidal wave of news, putting the iconic No. 3 car on the Pole. The No. 3 car last raced in the Sprint Cup Series in 2001, and hadn’t been on track in the series since Dale Earnhardt’s fatal wreck on the last lap of that year’s Daytona 500. In winning the pole, Dillon became the fourth driver to win the pole while driving the No. 3 car, joining Buddy Baker (1969), Ricky Rudd (1983) and Dale Earnhardt (1996). Continue reading

There’s much more to racing these days than, well, racing. That was the overall message delivered to 66 eager young drivers Wednesday at the 2014 NASCAR Rookie Seminar.

Call those 66 the “Great American Rookie Class.” It sure looked like that, with the seminar taking place next to Daytona International Speedway’s Victory Lane where on Sunday, the winner of the Great American Race, the Daytona 500, will celebrate winning stock car racing’s biggest race. Driving Iconic No. 3, Dillon will Lead the Field to Green in ‘The Great American Race’

Austin Dillon, driving the historic No. 3 car in its return to NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition for the first time since 2001, won the Coors Light Pole for the 56th running of the Daytona 500 – NASCAR’s most prestigious race and season opener. “The Great American Race” is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Feb. 23 at Daytona International Speedway. Fans can watch at 1 p.m. on FOX, and listen on Motor Racing Network Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.  Continue reading
