Axalta Coating Systems, formally Dupont, announced today that the company has extended its sponsorship with Hendrick Motorsports and Jeff Gordon through 2016.

This season has been the first year that the name Dupont has not been seen on Jeff Gordon’s car in the Sprint Cup series. Earlier this year, Dupont came under new ownership and is renamed as Axalta Coating Systems. Jeff Gordon has sponsored paint brands such as Cromax Pro so far this season in place of the Axalta name.
