Just as the Duck Commander 500 looked as though it was over, a game changing late yellow-flag made for a wild final restart. Joey Logano led before the last caution, but strategy by other teams on pit road led to Logano to restarting third. With six different Sprint Cup Series winners in the first six races for the season, the question now is, will there be a seventh different winner at Texas Motor Speedway?
Kurt Busch set a Chase for the Sprint Cup era record the moment he hit the finish line to close last Sunday’s race at Martinsville Speedway – six different winners in the first six races of the season. More amazing is that Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson – the top two winners in the 2013 season – are not among that group. For the first time since 2011, Kurt Busch was in victory lane Sunday afternoon when he held off Jimmie Johnson late in the race at Martinsville Speedway. After a slow start to his season in which Busch failed to finish inside the top 20 for the first four races, the No.41 team has found their comfort zone. Busch has now scored two straight top-three finishes which gives the team lots of momentum heading into the month of April. Continue reading
