All that and more, make the Nationwide Series Preseason Thunder test a major success this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Twenty-five cars turned laps on the 2.5 mile high banks Saturday and Sunday, as teams tune up for the season-opening Drive4COPD 300 on Feb 22 at 1:15pm, broadcast on ESPN, MRN and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, channel 90. Chase Elliott Teams with NAPA and JR Motorsports for 2014 Season

Driver Chase Elliott will compete full-time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for JR Motorsports starting in 2014 and do so with NAPA AUTO PARTS as his full-season primary sponsor, the team announced today.

With Elliott as its driver, the 2014 season will mark NAPA’s 19th in NASCAR sponsorship. NAPA (National Automotive Parts Association) has more than 6,000 stores nationwide with more than 400,000 quality parts and accessories for automotive and industrial applications – the most extensive inventory in the industry. Erik Jones Takes Aim and Wins the Winchester 400

Earlier this month, Erik Jones, took aim, was steady, and fired the famed Winchester Rifle after becoming the victor of the 42nd Annual Winchester 400 at Winchester (Ind.) Speedway.  With the victory, the 17-year-old Michigan native joined current boss Kyle Busch as one of six drivers to win both the prestigious Winchester 400 and the Snowball Derby, accomplishing the feat in less than a year  Continue reading →

The Fan Appreciation 200 presented by New Holland will feature the Camping World Truck Series at Iowa Speedway on Sunday, September 8th. Television coverage begins at 1:30pm ET with radio coverage on MRN, Sirius XM channel 90.

Four different drivers under the age of 21 have won Camping World Truck Series races in 2013, including the most recent winner Chase Elliott at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park last weekend. Elliott also made history as the youngest winner in the history of the series at 17 years, nine months and four days. Ryan Blaney – 18 years, eight months and 15 days –  was the previous record holder with his win at Iowa Speedway last year. Continue reading →
