Brendan Gaughan makes his first NASCAR Truck Series start in nearly 13 years at the San Diego Streat Course this Friday.
50-year-old Brendan Gaughan will come out of retirement this week to take part in NASCAR’s inaugural race weekend through the streets of San Diego at Naval Base Coronado. He’ll make his return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck series this Friday for the first time since 2013, in the McAnally Hilgemann Racing No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado.
While five NASCAR Xfinity Series regulars are competing this weekend in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway – Joey Gase is in the No. 00 for StarCom Racing Chevrolet, Ross Chastain is in the No. 15 for Premium Motorsports Chevrolet, JJ Yeley is in the No. 23 for BK Racing Ford, Brendan Gaughan is in the No. 62 for Beard Motorsports Chevrolet and Landon Cassill is in the No. 99 for StarCom Racing Chevrolet – there are eight drivers gearing up for the next Playoff Round of 8 which begins at Kansas Speedway next week.
